Who Can Submit?
Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in Fine Print provided he or she owns the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).
General Submission Guidelines
Written submissions must be limited to 5,000 words total, up to three (3) poems, or up to three (3) pieces of artwork. To ensure that the magazine can include as many contributors as possible, >Fine Print will only consider submissions based on these guidelines. Therefore, if a person were to submit five (5) poems, the editorial staff would only consider the first three (3). This submission limit does not guarantee acceptance of all submissions into the magazine. If you have concerns about the submission terms for Fine Print, please contact the editors
Formatting Requirements
All written submissions must be sent in a Microsoft Word document without the authors name on the document. Files should be named with the title of the piece. Submissions of artwork should be submitted as high-quality JPEG, TIFF, or PNG files. Photographs and photos of artwork must be formatted and edited to the likes of the submitter, as Fine Print staff will not perform any edits on artwork.
Copyright
All works published in Fine Print are subject to the general Terms of Use of the Elizabethtown College institutional repository (JayScholar). Pursuant to this policy, the copyright for materials published in Fine Print is wholly owned by the author(s) of the work. By submitting the work for publication to Fine Print, the author consents to having the work publicly available through the Elizabethtown College institutional repository (JayScholar). For questions regarding the copyright policy, please contact Jennifer Strain, Instruction & Scholarly Communication Librarian, strainj@etown.edu.
